BRODER creates music and theater and especially musical theater beyond borders. From imaginative musical theater performances for ages 6 to 106, to performances, debates and publications. The actresses sing, the musicians act. New contemporary classical compositions meet classical works. In recognizable and real-life texts, the detailed stories become sharp and contemporary. Together, the ensemble becomes a score beyond the boundaries of theater, musical and opera. From unique locations to magnificent theater venues, BRODER creates music + theater, designed epically in image, music and text.

TEAM

BRODER makes music + theater with temporary collectives of unique and idiosyncratic artists around the pivot of artistic director and writer-director Koen Boesman and resident composer Peter Spaepen. This “collective of difference” is made up of visual artists, creators , writers, actors, musicians, theater teachers, etc. They are committed to the project.

The ARCA theater (200 seats) in the historic center of Ghent (BE) is the headquarters of BRODER. We play our own shows there and welcome other companies for rehearsals, residencies and performances.

Dans des textes reconnaissables et vécus, les histoires détaillées deviennent pointues et actuelles. EQUIPE

BRODER fait musique + théâtre avec des collectifs temporaires d'artistes uniques et idiosyncratiques autour du pivot du directeur artistique et scénariste-réalisateur Koen Boesman et du compositeur résident Peter Spaepen.Ce « collectif de la différence » est composé d'artistes plasticiens, de créateurs, d'écrivains, de comédiens, de musiciens, de professeurs de théâtre, etc. Ils sont engagés dans le projet.

TEAM

BRODER macht Musik + Theater mit temporären Kollektiven einzigartiger und eigenwilliger Künstler rund um den künstlerischen Leiter und Autor und Regisseur Koen Boesman und den Hauskomponisten Peter Spaepen.Dieses „Kollektiv der Differenz“ besteht aus bildenden Künstlern, Machern, Schriftstellern, Schauspielern, Musikern, Theaterpädagogen usw. Sie engagieren sich für das Projekt.
